AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL GROUP INC. has named CHARLES WILLIAMSON president of the AIG Private Client Group.

CHRISTOPHER SPARRO will succeed Williamson as president of AIG WorldSource. DOUGLAS WORMAN will take the place of Sparro as zonal executive for domestic general insurance in the greater New York region.

Williamson joined AIG in 1988 and has served as senior vice president of domestic brokerage group sales and marketing; executive vice president of the excess casualty unit of AIG's American Home Assurance Co.; and senior vice president of casualty for AIG Risk Management. Sparro began working with AIG in 1990, and Worman came to AIG's National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1992.
