The children's home holiday drive kicked off just after Thanksgiving and will be completed on Dec. 22 when volunteers from AICE will deliver a variety of clothing, toys and sporting goods Noun 1. sporting goods - sports equipment sold as a commodity

 to Orangewood Children's Home. The drive, which represents the third consecutive year AICE has supported the facility, is part of AICE's overall commitment to community projects, spearheaded in January 1997. AICE, a distributor of commodity semiconductors, created the initiative to set a standard for corporate involvement within the community and promote volunteerism among employees.

"The drive for the Orangewood Children's Home is one of many community projects that we've been a part of over the past three years," said Denise Hance, AICE's Human Resources/Admin. Manager. In addition to the holiday donation to Orangewood, AICE company employees have participated in blood drives, food drives and benefit drives to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation located in Irvine, Calif.

Many of its residents work in nearby aerospace and defense installations, and there is light manufacturing. , Calif. The food bank distributes the donations to various community shelters and organizations.
