American Hospital Dubai Signs Multi-Suite Contract with Lawson Software.

, Minn. -- Lawson Software (Lawson Software, St. Paul, MN, www.lawson.com) A software company that specializes in ERP for vertical markets including health care, retail, public sector, professional and financial services.  (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced that American Hospital Dubai licensed the Lawson S3 Human Capital Management, Enterprise Financial Management, Supply Chain Management and Business Intelligence Suites. American Hospital Dubai chose the Lawson applications to support its growth strategies and promote greater efficiency by helping to simplify administrative processes. The contract was signed during Lawson's second quarter of fiscal 2008, which ended Nov. 30, 2007. American Hospital Dubai is a Joint Commission International-accredited, 143-bed acute care hospital. With more than 800 employees, the hospital provides American-standard medical and surgical services to residents of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates United Arab Emirates, federation of sheikhdoms (2005 est. pop. 2,563,000), c.30,000 sq mi (77,700 sq km), SE Arabia, on the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.  as well as visiting patients from around the world. The hospital is in the process of expanding its inpatient bed capacity to more than 360 beds and adding services.

The unified Lawson system will give the hospital sophisticated business software designed to help it compete for the growing number of patients traveling outside their home country for health treatment. For example, the Lawson system will help the hospital more easily track and share data with patients and health insurers. This timely data-sharing will help streamline the medical reimbursement process, which can help make it more convenient and cost-effective for patients to choose the hospital.
