(NASDAQ:AHOM), today announced that the Board of Directors of American HomePatient has declared a 3-for-2 stock split to be effected by the issuance of one-half share for each share of American HomePatient common stock owned by a shareholder as of the record date. The stock split will have a record date at the close of trading on April 18, 1996 and will be distributed to shareholders on May 2, 1996. American HomePatient has approximately 7.66 million shares outstanding.
