The iSeries/400 Division of ACOM Solutions Inc., Atlanta, and American Health Care Software Enterprises Inc. (AHC) have established a business partnership under which ACOM will offer its EZPrint/400 solutions for electronic forms, labels and MICR laser checks to existing and future customers of AHC in the alternative health care field, it was announced today by Mark Firmin, Division vice president of sales, and AHC President Marcia DeRosia.

AHC is also supporting the partnership with a suite of electronic forms that the company designed using EZPrint/400 and which it is making available free of charge to customers who purchase EZPrint/400 through Nov. 31, 2001. Among the templates are checks, UB 92 and HCFA universal billing forms, progress notes, physician orders and internal requisition forms.

American Health Care is a software developer that operates nationally, serving facilities engaged in the continuum of care. Marketed as the Harmony Health Care Management System, the AHC product line is composed of the Continuum of Care Suite, the Financial Suite, the Clinical Care Suite and the Human Resources and Payroll Suite. Clientele include nursing homes and sub-acute centers; managed care, extended care, home health care and hospice facilities; residential apartments and senior living facilities; and CCRC facilities.

EZPrint/400 is a native RPG electronic document printing solution developed specifically for use in the IBM AS/400 computing environment that eliminates the need for preprinted forms. EZPrint/400 allows users to design electronic document templates for business forms, checks and labels, positioning their various elements on-screen through a click-and-drag PC WYSIWYG design process and storing the templates on the iSeries/400 computer.

When a form, check or label is required, EZPrint/400 merges the appropriate data with the respective template and spools the combined file out to a laser printer, where the complete, finished document is generated as needed using blank paper, check or label stock.
