American Greetings Produces Official 1998 Kentucky Governor's Holiday Card; American Greetings Artist Chosen to Depict Old Governor's Mansion for Holiday Card.


CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 10, 1998--Governor Paul E. Patton and First Lady Judi Patton today unveiled the official 1998 Kentucky Governor's holiday greeting card, featuring the Old Governor's Mansion The Old Governor's Mansion is located at 420 High Street, Frankfort, Kentucky. It is reputed to be the oldest official executive residence still in use in the United States. , a 200-year-old state landmark.

The card was printed and finished by American Greetings American Greetings Corporation, Inc. NYSE: AM is the world's largest publicly-traded greeting card company. It is based in Cleveland, Ohio and sells paper greeting cards, electronic greeting cards, party products (such as wrapping papers and decorations), and electronic  at its Kentucky manufacturing facilities in Corbin and Bardstown, respectively. The beautifully detailed watercolor painting watercolor painting, in its wider sense, refers to all pigments mixed with water rather than with oil and also to the paintings produced by this process; it includes fresco and tempera as well as aquarelle, the process now commonly meant by the generic term. , by American Greetings artist Bill Breedon, captures the Georgian architectural details of this historic residence on the front of the card.

American Greetings is an integral part of the Kentucky community, with more than 2,400 associates employed at facilities in Corbin, Bardstown, Danville and Shelbyville.
