American Geriatrics Society to move to Empire State Building.


The American Geriatrics Society The American Geriatrics Society (AGS): a professional society founded on June 11, 1942 for doctors practicing geriatric medicine. Among the founding physicians were Dr. Ignatz Leo Nascher, who coined the term "geriatrics," Dr. Malford W. , Inc. has leased 9,200 square feet of space on the eighth floor of the Empire State Building, located at 34th Street and Fifth Avenue. The tenant, which is relocating from 770 Lexington Avenue, is expected to occupy its new space in mid-December.

Helmsley-Spear, Inc. represented the Empire State Building in the transaction. The lease is for 12 and a half years.

Founded in 1942, the American Geriatrics Society is a nationwide, not-for-profit association of geriatrics health care professionals dedicated to improving the health, independence and quality of life of all older people.

In moving its offices to the Empire State Building, the American Geriatrics Society joins a number of prominent non-profit organizations that have taken space there in recent months. They all have found special benefit in having their headquarters in the world's most famous building.
