American Fire Retardant Corp. Begins Fire Proofing Services for El Monte Aquatic Center.

American Fire Retardant Corp. (OTCBB:AFRC) (www.americanfireretardant.com), a fire protection company that specializes in fire prevention and fire containment, announced today that the Company has begun fire proofing services for the El Monte Aquatic Center in California.

The old pool, home to the former world-renowned El Monte Aquatic Club, produced national and world record holders and three Olympic gold medallists (two of them El Monteans, the new pool's namesakes; Sandy Neilson and Lance Larson). Just as importantly, the pool educated and introduced many thousands to the enjoyment of water sports and helped the community's safety through certification classes in C.P.R., First Aid and other lifesaving skills.

When the new Aquatic Center opens, it will strive to create new experiences and build new leadership through programs to be made available to the community. The new pool, scheduled to open sometime in the spring of 2003, will not only continue these traditions but will be able to expand its services to the growing community.

The indoor and outdoor pools, along with a giant slide, will be accessible to everyone from birth to the golden years. The zero-depth entry of the outdoor pool as well as the entry ramp (wheelchair accessible) designed into the indoor pool will encourage all, regardless of age or physical capabilities, to make use of these truly outstanding facilities.
