American Fire Retardant Corp. Announces Contract for Parrish Medical Center.

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 23, 2002

American Fire Retardant Corp. (OTCBB:AFRC) (www.americanfireretardant.com), a fire protection company that specializes in fire prevention and fire containment, announced today that the company has begun fire proofing services for the Parrish Medical Center located in Titusville, Fla.

Parrish Medical Center is a 210-bed acute care hospital fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). PMC maintains the distinction of being Brevard County's only acute care hospital to earn the highest rating from the nation's top health care accrediting organization. Because of its location, sophistication and medical capabilities, Parrish Medical Center is the designated primary emergency medical receiving facility for Kennedy Space Center shuttle crews and ground support personnel.

According to the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) a fire occurs somewhere in the United States every 18 seconds, resulting in an injury every 23 minutes and a death every 130 minutes.
