American Federal announces 20% increase in dividend.


GREENVILLE, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 16, 1997--American Federal Bank, FSB (FrontSide Bus) See system bus.

) today announced a 20% increase in the regular quarterly dividend to twelve cents per share Cents per share

The amount of a mutual fund's dividend or capital gains distributions that a shareholder will receive for each share owned.

The increase reflects the growth in earnings announced on Jan. 15, 1997. It marks the fourth straight year that dividends have increased at least 20%. The Bank began paying dividends in 1993.

The dividend is payable on Feb. 10, 1997 to shareholders of record on Jan. 24, 1997.
