American Equipment Company Acquires Full Interest in Mexico's Maquinaria Panamericana, S.A. de C.V.GREENVILLE, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 16, 1998--American Equipment Company (AMECO AMECO Association of Missing and Exploited Children's Organizations ), the wholly owned equipment rental and sales subsidiary of Fluor Corp., Wednesday announced that it obtained full ownership of Maquinaria Panamericana, S.A. de C.V. (MAPSA MAPSA Michigan Association of Public School Academies MAPSA Member of the Australian Professional Selling Association ) from Grupo ICA Ica (ē`kä), city (1993 pop. 108,724), capital of Ica dept., SW Peru, on the Pan-American Highway. It is a commercial center for the cotton, wool, and wine produced in the region. There are several summer resorts nearby. on Nov. 30, 1998. MAPSA will continue to operate under its current name. In June 1997, AMECO acquired a majority share -- 65 percent -- of MAPSA from Grupo ICA. The transaction cost was not material to Fluor.
