American Electronics Association Selects Magellan Behavioral Health To Expand Employee Assistance Program.


COLUMBIA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 5, 1999--

The agreement also includes the extension of basic EAP services to employees of AEA's international member companies. The one-year contract will be administered through Magellan's regional service center in Salt Lake City.

Founded in 1943, the American Electronics Association is one of the largest trade associations for high-tech companies in the U.S. The organization now maintains a membership of 3,000 firms. As members of the association, small and emerging companies in particular are entitled to take advantage of comprehensive medical benefit packages offered through national health plans, including EAP services.

"With dependent care services in addition to their traditional EAP, not only will AEA domestic employees have access to 24-hour confidential services, they will also have available valuable child and elder care resources through the EAP line."

American Electronics employees who have family and work place conflicts, personal and emotional concerns, alcohol and substance abuse, legal, career or other challenges can turn to the program for confidential assistance. Employees will also have access to dependent care services, which offer valuable child and elder care resources such as day care information.
