Web-Based Training Developed by the Texas Education Agency and Pearson Educational Measurement Wins First-Place Award

The TAKS-Alt is not a traditional paper-and-pencil or online assessment, but rather an observation assessment used by Texas teachers to measure the progress of students with the most significant cognitive disabilities on skills aligned with academic grade-level content standards. The award, presented in April at the AERA Annual Meeting in Chicago, recognized the online training designed to help teachers implement this alternate assessment - for its design, content flow and ease of use.
