The results compare to a net loss of $1.2 million, or $.09 per share, for the third period of 1998.

Revenue for the quarter was $6.0 million, compared to $8.9 million in the comparable period of 1998.

For the first nine months of 1999, American Ecology reported net income of $0.08 per basic share on revenue of $24.1 million. The company reported a net loss of $.10 per basic share on revenue of $28.7 million for the first nine months of 1998.
