American Dental Technologies cleared to market new curing system for composite fillings.


SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 1995--American Dental Technologies Inc. announced that yesterday it was notified that its new Plasma Arc Curing System (``PAC'') was granted 510(k) clearance by the Food and Drug Administration.

The PAC utilizes a high intensity light source to rapidly cure composite fillings. Curing occurs in five to ten seconds, or at least twice as fast as most conventional curing lights.

Initially, the PAC will only be available as a part of the company's KCP KCP Party of Communists of Kyrgyzstan

 1000 whisperjet air abrasive cavity preparation system. The combined KCP 1000 PAC will be the only dental air abrasive product on the market offering an air abrasive cavity preparation system together with a composite curing light in a single instrument. The KCP 1000 PAC will allow dentists to easily switch from cavity preparation to curing without wasting time. A free standing curing system may also be available within the next year.
