Nathan Bell & Associates, a group dental practice with 18 dentists and nine locations in Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, generated approximately $8.5 million of patient revenue in 1999. The group joined the Company's existing affiliate in Winston-Salem, North Carolina Winston-Salem is a city in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 185,776; in 2004 the city annexed an additional 17,483 raising the population to 203,259. , University Dental Associates. As a result, University Dental Associates is one of American Dental Partners' larger affiliates with 25 dentists, 11 facilities and more than 100 operatories.

University Dental Associates recently opened a new 24-operatory dental facility in Winston-Salem, American Dental Partners' largest ever facility development project.
