American Custom Components (ACC See adaptive cruise control. ) Monday announced it has completed its transition to a publicly traded corporation, and will now accelerate its role in several new technologies that hold the potential for a substantial impact on global business.

ACC has carved out a powerful niche for itself by offering technology-based industries a complete program including rapid design, engineering, tooling, molding, and assembly services.

ACC's corporate strategy is to target select emerging technology sectors with the potential for explosive growth, and then penetrate attractive markets within these sectors by developing custom products for the leading manufacturers utilizing ACC's unique "fast turn" design and production capabilities.

Company Chief Executive Officer and 30-year industry veteran Tony Walk stated, "Being a public company will greatly enhance our ability to seize exciting new opportunities.

"For example, producing components for the electronic shelf price-tag system. This is a revolutionary technology that can have a major impact on the way supermarkets operate. The potential global market for this product is simply breathtaking."

Walk continued, "Our initial focus has been producing electronic connectors for the rapidly growing hard disk drive industry.

"Achieving immediate success in establishing a solid position supplying the leading drive manufacturers such as Seagate, Western Digital, Maxtor, Iomega, JTS JTS - A simple dialect of JOVIAL.

and Micropolis has helped fuel our expansion into other technologies."

Responding to numerous customers' requests, ACC is currently expanding its capacity to support large orders from Singapore-based assembly operations via a new facility in Malaysia. In addition, a new highly cost-efficient plant will be opened in the Caribbean, primarily to assemble parts for North American North American

"Utilizing our formidable engineering talent, we redesign the components to yield substantial savings in time and money in the manufacture and final assembly of the customer's product."

"We then initiate a patent filing on its revised design. In this way, American Custom Components becomes the sole source supplier of items that no other competitor makes.

"We are presently developing several patents for use in tooling and the manufacture of several proprietary electronic connector designs."

Chief Financial Officer Inge Lundegaard commented, "Our corporate strategy places us in the enviable en·vi·a·ble
