American College of Forensic Examiners Selects VCampus to Develop Online Curriculum to Support Growing Professional Certification Programs.

RESTON, Va. -- Online courses will provide certification preparation, continuing education and professional development options in the areas of Forensic Examination and Homeland Security 

The American College of Forensic Examiners (ACFEI), an independent, scientific and professional society dedicated to the continued advancement of forensic examination and consultation, and VCampus Corporation (NASDAQ:VCMP), a provider of comprehensive e-Learning publishing and hosting services to corporations, government agencies, associations and higher education organizations, today announced plans to develop and deliver an online curriculum to support ACFEI's six rapidly growing forensic certifications as well as its Diplomate program.

The online courses, being jointly developed under the VCampus Select Partner(TM) Program, will provide ACFEI's thousands of certified forensic professional members with continuing education and certification preparation options. ACFEI is the largest professional forensic membership association in the world. The study of forensics deals with the use of science or technology in the investigation and establishment of facts or evidence in a court of law. As the practice of forensics continues to be wrought by significant legal and scientific implications, the need for highly trained and qualified forensic examiners remains critical worldwide.

Using existing ACFEI classroom content, VCampus plans to initially develop and deliver a series of three online courses to support continuing-education requirements based on the following ACFEI core instructor-led courses: Professional Ethics in Forensic Examination, Law and Forensic Examination and Scientific Evidence: A Short Course in the Applied Forensic Sciences Service. After completion of these courses, VCampus and ACFEI plan to develop certification preparation review courses to support ACFEI certifications including:

--Certified Forensic Consultant, CFC(SM)

--Certified in Homeland Security, CHS(SM)

--Certified Forensic Nurse, CFN(SM)

--Certified Medical Investigator(R), CMI 

The curriculum of the CFN online certification review courses will incorporate blended learning elements such as discussion groups, instructor participation, web conferencing and chat to reinforce important information.

Members are required to complete 15 hours of continuing education instruction each year to maintain ACFEI certification. Prospective Diplomate members must complete ACFEI's three core courses and the CFC program to earn Diplomate status. All of the online courses being developed are expected to provide continuing education credits toward the recertification requirement. Based on course length, costs of the online courses will range from $200 - $800 for individual purchasers, and corporate and ACFEI-member discounts will be available. The first three courses are scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2005 and will be available through ACFEI's new Online Learning Portal (www.acfei.com).
