The online courses, being jointly developed under the VCampus Select Partner(TM) Program, will provide ACFEI's thousands of certified forensic professional members with continuing education and certification preparation options. ACFEI is the largest professional forensic membership association in the world. As the practice of forensics continues to be wrought by significant legal and scientific implications, the need for highly trained and qualified forensic examiners remains critical worldwide.

Using existing ACFEI classroom content, VCampus plans to initially develop and deliver a series of three online courses to support continuing-education requirements based on the following ACFEI core instructor-led courses: Professional Ethics professional ethics,

The curriculum of the CFN online certification review courses will incorporate blended learning elements such as discussion groups, instructor participation, web conferencing and chat to reinforce important information.

Members are required to complete 15 hours of continuing education instruction each year to maintain ACFEI certification. Prospective Diplomate members must complete ACFEI's three core courses and the CFC program to earn Diplomate status. All of the online courses being developed are expected to provide continuing education credits toward the recertification recertification Recredentialing Graduate education A process in which a professional is periodically re-evaluated–eg, every 10 yrs by an accrediting body to assure continued provision of safe, high-quality health care  requirement. Based on course length, costs of the online courses will range from $200 - $800 for individual purchasers, and corporate and ACFEI-member discounts will be available. The first three courses are scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2005 and will be available through ACFEI's new Online Learning Portal (www.acfei.com).
