American College of Emergency Physicians Appoints Picis' Jeff Wajda to National Reimbursement Committee.


Wajda responsible for industry education on appropriate physician reimbursement

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- LYNX lynx, name given to several related small, ferocious members of the cat family. All have small heads, tufted ears, and heavy bodies with long legs and short tails. Dr. Wajda's appointment is a reflection of his expertise and commitment to the hospital reimbursement and revenue cycle environment and its intricate relation to the clinical care process.

ACEP is the national professional organization for emergency physicians, and is considered to be the leading influencer of best practices for physicians in emergency medicine. The National Reimbursement Committee is a group within ACEP that identifies and analyzes reimbursement challenges for emergency physicians and recommends strategic solutions; identifies and develops education materials; and highlights trends in the emergency care. On this committee, Dr. Wajda will contribute to the analysis of the impact emergency medicine has on the healthcare dollar and, based on committee research, will make recommendations for best practices in compliant documentation and appropriate reimbursement.
