), a provider of entertainment and sports content, is bringing to China a major boxing event, the first of its kind in the 50 years since the founding of the People's Republic. Scheduled for April 22 at an indoor arena in the city of Guang Zhou, 10,000 people will experience the event live as millions of Chinese people watch the matches via television on China's largest TV network that reaches 80 percent of its population. Three-time Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield and two-time Lightweight World Champion Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini are serving as spokespeople for the event.

The event will highlight heavyweight headliner Andrew Golota (ranked ninth Heavyweight in the world/Bronze Medal Olympic athlete) and two International Boxing Council The International Boxing Council (IBC) is a lightly regarded boxing sanctioning body whose "world champions" often lack widespread recognition. Holyfield explained, "Boxing is an international sport, and I believe the Chinese people will become big fans of boxing."

Added ACEI Chairman George Chung, himself a five-time martial arts champion, "I think all eyes will be on China that week with the boxing event and an International Trade Convention in Guang Zhou. This has been quite a journey, dealing with the bureaucracy of the Chinese government, cultural fears, the national and local sports councils, and the business agendas of the private enterprises, and through it all, we've remained enthusiastic about presenting this event."
