Starting today, American Century Investments American Century Investments is a privately held investment management firm. Its headquarters are located at 4500 Main in Kansas City, Missouri, near the famous Country Club Plaza. It was formerly known as Twentieth Century Investments. The company was founded by James E.  will begin offering its Learning Quest Education Savings Program through financial advisors and other third-party intermediaries.

public universities, private universities, community colleges and vocational or
technical schools

-- High contribution limit: Currently $235,000 per beneficiary

-- No minimum or maximum income limits to open and contribute to an account

-- Kansas residents can receive up to $2,000 Kansas state adjusted gross income
deduction ($4,000 for couples) per beneficiary, per year

-- Account can be transferred to an eligible family member of the prior
beneficiary

-- Contributions now can be made to both Learning Quest and a Coverdell
Education Savings Account (formally known as Education IRA) in the same year
for the same beneficiary(a)

-- Individual contributions of up to $55,000 per beneficiary in a year may be
free from federal gift tax if no additional gifts are made to the same
beneficiary during the following four years

-- The account balance is removed from account owner's estate but the account
owner maintains control over the account
