BALA CYNWYD, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 29, 2000

through its three subsidiaries, American Business Credit, Inc., Upland Mortgage and New Jersey Mortgage and Investment Corp. The Company's 11th consecutive quarterly securitization represents approximately one-half of the loans originated during the Company's first fiscal quarter 2001.

In addition, ABFI believes that this securitization was more economically beneficial to the Company than the prior quarter's securitization, based on improved credit enhancement Credit Enhancement

Notes:
Credit enhancements take many different forms. An example of a credit enhancement would be conversion rights added on to a debt instrument in order to lower the issuing
levels (overcollateralization) on this pool of loans. This improvement represents an estimated 20% reduction in required overcollateralization from the prior quarter's securitization.
