American Building Control Awarded Homeland Security Contract.

LEWISVILLE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 8, 2003

American Building Control, Inc. (Nasdaq:ABCX) announces that its MDI Security Systems business unit was awarded a contract by a major Homeland Security system integrator to upgrade an existing enterprise-wide Intrusion Detection Systems ("IDS") and Access Control Systems ("ACS") valued at about $800,000. MDI Security Systems will provide the software and hardware for the system, while Johnson Controls Security Systems, LLC ("JCI") will be the Integrator of the project.
