American Brands elects Tatlock to Board of Directors.


OLD GREENWICH, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 27, 1996--Anne M. Tatlock, 56, has been elected to the Board of Directors of American Brands, Inc. effective today, increasing the total number of members of the board to 12. Ms. Tatlock is President of Fiduciary Trust Company International of New York New York, state, United States

Ms. Tatlock joined Fiduciary Trust in 1984 as Senior Vice President and Manager of the Institutional Equity Department. She was elected to Executive Vice President in 1989, Director in 1990 and President in 1994. Fiduciary Trust International manages approximately $36 billion of assets globally in the fixed income, equity and real estate markets for institutions and individuals throughout the world. Assets under management Assets Under Management (AUM) is a term used by financial services companies in the mutual fund and money management or investment management business to gauge how much money they are managing.  have grown four-fold since 1983.

Ms. Tatlock received a B.A. degree in Political Science from Vassar College in 1961 and an M.A. degree in Economics from New York University New York University, mainly in New York City; coeducational; chartered 1831, opened 1832 as the Univ. of the City of New York, renamed 1896. It comprises 13 schools and colleges, maintaining 4 main centers (including the Medical Center) in the city, as well as the  in 1968. She and her husband, William Tatlock, reside in Manhattan and have three children.
