This subject patent is a division of the United Kingdom patent that the Company received in December 1999, which covered the combination of components of the Rapid Drug Screen(TM) on-site substance abuse test kit. ABMC feels that the combination of the two patents issued in the United Kingdom expands global protection of its intellectual property rights related to the Rapid Drug Screen drug test.

This will allow our market positioning in the UK to improve as we rid the United Kingdom of copycat products, most of which are produced in the United States by infringers of our United States patents. Some of those infringers are defendants in ABMC's federal patent infringement patent infringement n. the manufacture and/or use of an invention or improvement for which someone else owns a patent issued by the government, without obtaining permission of the owner of the patent by contract, license or waiver.  suit pending in California."

The Rapid Drug Screen single-step tests for substances of abuse generate results in five minutes and are unrivaled for ease of use. The most secure and flexible total testing system on the market, ABMC's on-site tests simultaneously screen for the presence or absence of up to nine illicit drugs.

American Bio Medica Corporation develops, manufactures and markets inexpensive, accurate on-site drugs-of-abuse diagnostic kits, sprays and support services worldwide. The company's global distributors target the workplace, physicians, corrections, clinical and educational markets. ABMC's Drug Detector(TM) identifies minute traces of illegal drugs on surfaces, while the company's Rapid Drug Screen tests individuals and is proven to correlate 100% with the standard laboratory screening test.
