The TLC also served the company on November 10 with notices of denial of applications recently filed by the company, seeking to amend commercial lessor's licenses in order to use them at two new locations in McAllen, Texas. Those denials are based on allegations by the TLC that the company lent money to or paid license fees for an authorized charitable organization. The TLC also served notice on the company that it may commence suspension or revocation proceedings with respect to the McAllen facilities. Under Texas law, the company now has the opportunity to show that it is in compliance with all legal requirements for retention of its licenses or to correct any errors in the information relied on by the TLC. A meeting has been scheduled between the company and an attorney for the TLC on Nov. 27, 1995. The company is also entitled to request hearings with respect to the TLC's denial of applications to amend the licenses held by the McAllen centers, which it intends to do. The company has retained the law firm of Minton, Burton, Foster & Collins in Austin to protect its interests in the administrative proceedings instituted by the TLC. CONTACT: Greg Wilson
