of transaction cards, valuable documents and consumer and industrial products, today announced it has received a patent for its seamless tamper apparent security labeling and materials. The patent, #6,214,443, was issued on April 10, 2001.

ABNH's seamless tamper apparent material makes it immediately evident if the product has been tampered with. The tamper apparent feature is not visible unless product tampering has occurred. Once removed, the security label cannot be replaced in one piece.

"We are proud to continue the tradition of innovation at ABNH. Over the years, we have developed many of the great innovations in the holographic See holographic storage.  field and we are committed to advancing the state-of-the-art to better serve the security needs of our customers," commented Sal D'Amato, Chairman of ABNH. "This new patent is the latest addition to our deep and extensive patent portfolio, and is particularly important for the security packaging and brand protection fields."

The tamper apparent pattern can be designed as a custom image or series of images to support the design, branding and security objectives of customers.

ABNH's patent also covers an innovative way to produce the tamper apparent features concurrently with the replication of a holographic image. This approach increases security, enhances design, streamlines production schedules, and reduces costs.

"The tamper apparent portion of the product is embedded within the central components of the label," explains Mike Banahan, Vice President of Sales of ABNH. "As a result, the final product is manufactured and applied at high speed, is durable in the field, and is ideal for securing box lids which require the label to bend around a ninety degree corner."

ABNH's seamless tamper apparent material, is included in the HoloSeal(TM) product currently being marketed by ABNH as a solution to product tampering, diversion and counterfeiting to the pharmaceutical and other consumer packaged goods Noun 1. packaged goods - groceries that are packaged for sale
