Richard Wagstaff "Dick" Clark (born November 30, 1929) is an Emmy Award-winning American television, radio personality, game show host and businessman, he served as
 Productions Inc. and Theater Events Management Inc. have inked a deal which will bring the classic American television show to the live theatrical stage.

, in April of 2005, co-producers Michael Wulfhart, writer producer of "Crazy Love," and Michael Pratter of Pratter & Young, a Los Angeles legal firm announced this weekend in San Diego San Diego (săn dēā`gō), city (1990 pop. 1,110,549), seat of San Diego co., S Calif., on San Diego Bay; inc. 1850. San Diego includes the unincorporated communities of La Jolla and Spring Valley. Coronado is across the bay. , the musical version of "American Bandstand, The Musical" in preparation of a national debut rollout later in the year.

In preparation for its premiere, "American Bandstand, The Musical" represents one of the only licenses ever granted for the famous television show created by Dick Clark, which ran on the ABC television network for over thirty years.

Planned for permanent companies in major U.S. cities on a selective basis, Mr. Pratter stated, "We are grateful for the confidence placed in the producers to guard this brand, identified with traditional American values, good clean fun, great music, and dance. In this day and age, people like being brought back to these a simpler, happier times."

The producers envision the operation of many permanent simultaneous companies running the show as a live musical, theatrical, interactive experience in major cities across the United States and internationally. The production is backed by a group of Los Angeles and New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 investors.
