Williams, chairwoman of the board, stated the growth and profitability of the bank caused the stock price to increase over the past year. She also indicated the recent listing of the Bancorp stock on the Nasdaq National Market will increase the outstanding shares available to trade. "We are very pleased with the performance of the bank and wish to share its success with our fellow shareholders," she said. Total assets at the end of 1994 were $227,419,000 with net income of $3,314,000. This compares with 1993 year-end assets and net income of $210,463,000 and $2,307,000, respectively. Total shareholder equity at the end of 1994 was $20,131,000. American Bank of Commerce, a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Bancorp of Nevada, was founded in 1979 to serve businesses and professionals in Southern Nevada.
