American Airpower Museum.


Want to ride in a B-17? Through Memorial Day, the brand new American American, river, 30 mi (48 km) long, rising in N central Calif. in the Sierra Nevada and flowing SW into the Sacramento River at Sacramento. The discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill (see Sutter, John Augustus) along the river in 1848 led to the California gold rush of  Airpower air·pow·er or air power

 Museum will be offering rides on the World War II bomber bomber

Military aircraft designed to drop bombs on surface targets. Aerial bombardment can be traced to the Italo-Turkish War (1911), in which an Italian pilot dropped grenades on two Turkish targets.
 at Republic Airfield in Farmingdale, Long Island, for a donation suggested at $350.

After many years of organization and fund raising, the museum was to open this week on May 24th. It will be housed at the five-story control tower in Hanger Four and inside Hanger Three.

The museum will also be home to a P-47 Thunderbolt The American Republic P-47 Thunderbolt, also known as the Jug, was the largest single-engined fighter of its day. It was one of the main United States Army Air Force (USAAF) fighters of the Second World War. , a World War II fighter, one of 15,579 that was designed, built, test flown and sent off to combat from Republic. Only six remain in flyable condition.
