American Access Technologies Announces Strategic Alliance With Connect Center.

LAKE MARY, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 16, 2000

American Access Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:AATK AATK - Always At the Keyboard) announced today that its Business to Business e-commerce site, Zonecabling.com, will offer Digital Flooring(TM), a new zone cabling under-floor solution by Connect Center, Inc. of Cartersville Georgia. Additionally, American Access will manufacture proprietary, patent pending products for Connect Center.

"Digital Flooring is another, very flexible example of the explosive market that delivers bandwidth to the desktop with high-speed zone cabling solutions for fiber optic and copper," said John Presley, president of American Access.

"Our relationship with American Access will be multi-faceted," according to Brad Barrett, President and CEO of Connect Center. "We were attracted to American Access because of their zone floor boxes which we will incorporate into our program. When we visited their Omega Metals fabrication facility, we knew we found our manufacturing partner as well," Barrett added.

American Access will initially manufacture two products for Connect Center and more are in development. Connect Center will feature American Access zone floor boxes in its B2B site digitalflooring.com.

"We serve the same customers with complimentary and additive solutions," Barrett said.

American Access Technologies (AATK) proprietary products are zone-cabling units that mount in ceilings, raised floors, and in custom furniture. The Company's concept of "zone cabling" reduces costs for installation and moves, adds, and changes by as much as 70% while providing versatility for voice and data infrastructures.
