American Access Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:AATK) announced today that its Joint Venture with Vulcan Microsystems, Inc., for a business to business e-commerce site serving the telecommunications industry, will be powered by Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq:SUNW) Developer Connection(SM) Sun Startup Essential(SM) program.

Sun's program, designed for dot.com startups, will allow AATK.com to reach the deployment stage with cost-efficient applications and services. American Access and Vulcan are creating a Vortal Business Model where engineers and infrastructure designers can blueprint a telecommunications project from start to finish, ordering whole systems online from AATK.com as the distributor for technology companies' products.

Vulcan is a developer of Internet technologies for e-commerce sites. Its proprietary Internet technologies are facilitated through partnerships with companies such as IBM (NYSE:IBM), Sun Microsystems, Alcatel (NYSE:ALA), and Cable & Wireless (NYSE:CWP).
