American Access Technologies, Inc. Logs Fourth Order for Sun Microsystems.

LAKE MARY, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 6, 2000

Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq:SUNW) has received its fourth order for American Access Technologies' (Nasdaq:AATK) unique zone cabling enclosures, currently being installed at Sun's Colorado campus, American Access announced today. The fourth order for 14 ceiling units follows the installation of 120 units, with 70 more planned for the last two buildings, said Peter Delaurier, who has been with the Sun project since the initial installation.

Project Manager John Cazor, of ICG FOTI, (Nasdaq:ICGX) Value Added Reseller for Lucent Technologies, (NYSE:LU) said Sun Microsystems prefers American Access products "because they provide easy access to the inner connectivity and are user friendly."

American Access manufactures zone cabling units that mount in ceilings, raised floors, and in custom furniture. The Company's concept of "zone cabling" reduces costs of installation and maintenance by as much as 70%, while providing versatility for voice and data infrastructures.

Anixter International Inc. (NYSE:AXE) is distributor for the project. Anixter Account Manager for Sun, Peter Delaurier, said American Access cabinets "save the end-user money on the back end due to the convenience it offers for future design changes."
