American Absorbents Gets New Name: Earful of Books; Shareholders Also Approve Re-locating Incorporation to Delaware.

Shareholders of American Absorbents Natural Products, Inc. (OTCBB:AMAB) of Austin on Friday approved proposals to change the company's name to Earful of Books, Inc., and to transfer AANPI's articles of incorporation from Utah to the state of Delaware.

Earful of Books, also based in Austin, is the nation's first and largest audiobooks-only store chain, currently renting and selling books on cassette and CD to more than 120,000 members. Earful initiated a reverse merger with American Absorbents earlier this summer, disclosing the agreement on July 6. The special shareholders' meeting was held at Westwood Country Club in Austin, central to a majority of two firms' 940 shareholders.

"We will now seek approval to change the trading symbol from AMAB to EARS," said Paul A. Rush, founder of Earful (www.earful.com), who now serves as CEO and Chairman of the public company.

Rush also disclosed to shareholders that the sale of AANP's primary assets -- the nation's largest zeolite mine and a nearby plant in south central Oregon -- "is progressing smoothly." Barso Global Management, Ltd. of Toronto, Canada, retained to sell the assets, "has received a number of serious queries in the wake of the high quality report on the sample of deposits by the RJ Lee Group, Inc. of Monroe, PA," one of the nation's leading, independent specialists in materials characterization, he said.

AANPI markets products containing the volcanic mineral, which is used primarily for odor control, gas or liquid absorption, the slow release of nutrients into the soil and in animal feed supplements. Sale of the assets will provide capital to accelerate development of Earful's audiobook concept. It has 16 stores coast-to-coast, 32 more "in the pipeline" and an arrangement with Blockbuster Video to co-locate up to 150 stores at existing, premier Blockbuster sites.
