American ``Country'' Idol?!

ANAHEIM, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Aug. 12, 2002

Country 93.9 KZLA will be on location at The Grove of Anaheim this Wednesday, August 14, 6AM-10AM, giving away free Dixie Chicks concert tickets every five minutes. The only catch is, you must sing for the tickets!

Winning is easy: Everyone is invited to stop by the KZLA broadcast and register for the tickets. Beginning at 6:00AM, Country 93.9 KZLA will begin drawing names every five minutes. Everyone whose name is drawn will spin a karaoke wheel, which will contain titles of Dixie Chicks songs. Then, they must sing the song in front of the crowd on hand and will be awarded tickets to the concert when they are done singing. KZLA will draw names until 10:00AM.

"We are going have our own `live' version of the hit show `American Idol' and call it the `American COUNTRY Idol'!" says KZLA Morning host Peter Tilden Peter Tilden is an American radio personality and the host of America's Earliest Morning Show, an overnight program heard on KABC in Los Angeles.
