The preliminary deployment in March, 1994 provided fully operational voice/data and video services to over 300 Navy personnel, utilizing the FPN1000(TM) System and Americable's "on base" cable television (CATV (Community Antenna TV) The original name for cable TV. It used a single antenna at the highest location in the community in order to deliver a quality signal to homes in areas with hilly terrain or other interference. ) network. Utilizing single-wire cable television connections, FPN's cable telephony technology over Americable's cable television system provided Navy personnel with the ability to simultaneously access both Americable's cable television programming and economical local and long distance telephone services.

Charles C. Hermanowski, Chairman of Ameircable International states: "The FPN1000(TM) Systems allowed Americable to utilize its 450 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. The FPN1000(TM) System has performed flawlessly over the past twelve months cementing the role of the FPN1000(TM) product in our future domestic and international marketing strategies. We foresee the deployment of over 30,000 units worldwide in the next two years to service the needs of our customers."

James Hirschy, FPN's Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service said: "In addition to the convenience of in-room telephone service instead of banks of standard pay-phones at central locations, Navy personnel also benefited from consolidated, itemized billing for cable television, local and long distance telephone services. Our future development plans with Americable envisions a host of service enhancements for their customers which may include custom calling features, voice mail, fax and high speed data connectivity, all of which are with the FPN1000(TM) capabilities."
