America needs great leadership. As our nation faces the task of voting and selecting leadership this November I hear God's voice telling us to pray intently for the proper leaders to be elected. Our country is at war with evil and terror, and never since the foundation of our great nation have we so needed leadership of integrity. We need leaders who will work together, rather than against each other. America doesn't need leaders at this time in history who will stall or divide government for their own political ideology at the expense our national benefit. Our need is leadership that can unify, rally, and lift up the good people of this nation, her veterans and their families. Great leadership will set an example and demonstrate guidance in the many facets of America's life and conflict. Pray for the election of leaders who have the ability to make the way plain and clear, inspiring the citizenry cit·i·zen·ry n. pl. cit·i·zen·ries Citizens considered as a group. citizenry Noun citizens collectively Noun 1. to follow them to victory. Pray that God will give us leaders who can voice the conscience of our nation; and that their words inspire and motivate the whole nation to greatness. We need leaders of vision in all three branches of government. In Proverbs Proverbs, book of the Bible. It is a collection of sayings, many of them moral maxims, in no special order. The teaching is of a practical nature; it does not dwell on the salvation-historical traditions of Israel, but is individual and universal based on the we have a great lesson; Proverbs 29:18 (KJV KJV abbr. King James Version ) Where there is no vision, the people perish TO PERISH. To come to an end; to cease to be; to die. 2. What has never existed cannot be said to have perished. 3. When two or more persons die by the same accident, as a shipwreck, no presumption arises that one perished before the : but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Thucydides said it well when he said, "The bravest are surely those who have the dearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding go out to meet it." We need leaders who know where to go, when to start going, and how to lead others there also. One of the signers of the Declaration of Independence John Witherspoon correctly said, "If your case is just, if your principles are pure, and if your conduct is prudent, you need not fear the multitude of opposing host." God will come to your aid. This country needs leadership that is honest to God, to the Constitution of the United States Constitution of the United States, document embodying the fundamental principles upon which the American republic is conducted. Drawn up at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787, the Constitution was signed on Sept. , to the laws of the land, and to the citizens whom they serve. So pray hard, study those to be considered, vote, and pray hard for those elected. For His Glory, Rev. Gerald V. Stump stump (stump) the distal end of a limb left after amputation. stump n. 1.
