Jamie's American Road Trip Channel 4, 9.00pm

JAMIE Oliver has finally left the UK, but the bad news is he is coming back armed with new recipes. However, to be fair, this series may actually be fun considering the subject matter.

Jamie is on the culinary journey of a lifetime as he heads off the beaten track to discover the real heart of America, through its people, culture, music and its food.

In the first programme, he's in Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850. . The city is synonymous with synonymous with

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Channel 4, 10.35pm

FORGET what you saw in The Sopranos, because this purports to document the real domestic lifestyles of the Garden State.

The first episode of this reality series showing the lives of five affluent housewives in New Jersey - Teresa, Jacqueline, Caroline, Dina and Danielle - reveals a surprising twist ... three of the housewives are related.

Meanwhile, Caroline, who owns two businesses, prepares for her son's graduation party, and mum-of-three Teresa plots her daughter Tia's road to stardom after watching her dancing.

ON the final, triumphant leg of his latest journey around Britain's coast and beyond, Neil Oliver visits the bustling port of Rosyth to explore the staggering scale of the nation's global sea trade.

The trade is now worth pounds 340billion a year, yet a pair of jeans can travel to Britain from China for just 30p.

CHRIS Tarrant presents another starstudded charitable edition of the quiz show format, as celebs hope to raise as much money as possible.

The fact that it's not their lifestyles on the line does dilute the tension a bit from the normal show, but that is made up by the added glitz of well-known faces. Zoe Lucker and John Suchet are among the celebrities.
