AOL's Biggest Commercial Poll Ever Featuring New Super Bowl(R) Ads

To Take Place After Super Bowl XXXVIII Super Bowl XXXVIII was the 38th championship game of the modern National Football League (NFL). The game was played on February 1, 2004 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas following the 2003 regular season.

To celebrate this cultural phenomenon, America Online See AOL.  and CBS are making classic Super Bowl commercials available for viewing and voting online at AOL(R) Keyword: Super Bowl, on the newly redesigned AOL.com service and on CBS.com. The results of the voting will then appear on the CBS special "Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials," airing Saturday, Jan. 31 at 9 pm ET/PT. Featured commercials will include the famous "1984" ad for Apple(R) Macintosh(R) computers, which aired in 1984, as well as other classics including the monk making quick copies of his scroll on a Xerox(R) machine from 1977, and Joe Namath Joseph William Namath (born May 31, 1943), also known as Broadway Joe, was an American football Hall of Fame quarterback in the American Football League and National Football League during the 1960s and 1970's. Namath played for the New York Jets for most of his career.  and Farrah Fawcett Farrah Fawcett (born February 2 1947) is an American actress. She became a noted pop culture figure and sex symbol of the 1970s and into the 1980s, shaping the landscape of fashion and pop culture.  lathering up with Noxzema(R) shaving cream in 1973.

The viewing and voting for these classic ads are part of AOL's comprehensive Super Bowl package of events designed to highlight AOL(R) TopSpeed(TM) technology, the built-in Web accelerator Software that speeds up the retrieval of Web pages. Anticipating that you might click a link on the current page, it downloads the linked pages in the background. Most of these utilities require nothing more than your browser, while others require a counterpart component in the server.  in AOL(R) 9.0 Optimized that allows consumers to browse the Internet faster -- up to five times faster for dial-up users when compared with a standard dial-up connection(1).

These commercials are available now for viewing and voting to AOL members at AOL Keyword: Super Bowl, and for free on the Web through the AOL.com service and on CBS.com. The polls will close on Wednesday, Jan. 28 and the results will be revealed on CBS' "Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials."

The show will feature 10 of the most memorable Super Bowl ads, counting down from 10 to four. Then, during the CBS broadcast, the polls will reopen on AOL, AOL.com and CBS.com where fans can vote for the top three. The results will be announced live on the show.

Last year, AOL's first commercial showcase generated more than 5.6 million streams in 36 hours. The poll gives fans on AOL and AOL.com the opportunity to view ads that premiered during Super Bowl XXXVIII immediately after the game and cast their votes for their favorite. Early results of this year's poll will be available within hours after the big game. The final results of the poll will be announced on February 2.
