America Online Names Gregory S. Horton as Executive Vice President, Human Resources The fancy word for "people." Horton will report to AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services. Vice Chairman Joseph Ripp. Mr. Horton will oversee the Human Resources team at AOL, leading all aspects of HR, from talent acquisition to organizational development to leadership, in addition to managing the company's facilities in more than twenty states and nearly two dozen countries. Previously, Mr. Horton was Vice President of Human Resources for Qwest Communications' worldwide operations, managing 82 HR professionals and covering more than 54,000 employees. Mr. Horton brings to AOL more than 13 years experience in Human Resources, working for Autonation USA and Pepsi-Cola Company, before joining Qwest in 2001.
