America Online See AOL. , Inc., the world's leading interactive services company, today announced that Bill Wilson has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services.  Entertainment, succeeding Kevin Conroy Kevin Conroy (born November 30 1955) is an American actor of stage, screen, and voice, perhaps best known for his portrayal of DC Comics superhero Batman in numerous animated series and features that comprised the DC animated universe.  in that role, following Conroy's recent promotion to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Since joining AOL, Mr. Wilson has played a vital role in AOL Music's emergence as the #1 online music destination, with over 15 million unique visitors A count of how many different people access a Web site. For example, if a user leaves and comes back to the site five times during the measurement period, that person is counted as one unique visitor, but would count as five "user sessions.  per month (comScore Media Metrix). Together with the music team, Mr. Wilson built upon AOL Music's groundbreaking, exclusive programming like the award-winning First Listen program, which premiers the most eagerly anticipated songs before anyone else including radio. They created Sessions@AOL, First View, and BroadBAND Rocks!, some of AOL's trademark franchises.

In his new role, Mr. Wilson will work to extend those successes, both in the music space and across the spectrum of entertainment. Numerous other entertainment franchises have been established since the fall of 2002. The AOL Television team has created and developed the Morning After exclusive program that has showcased hard-to-get interviews with reality show contestants immediately after each episode as well as specially created promotional webisodes, which extend the content of weekly TV shows. AOL Movies has premiered its latest coup, a feature called Celebrity Candids, exclusive behind-the-scenes photos at awards shows and premieres, most recently Matrix Reloaded and T3, taken by the celebrities themselves using digital cameras supplied by AOL. Radio@AOL has launched its best of breed radio experience for dial-up and broadband users and AOL Entertainment has leveraged content from Time Inc. publications including People, InStyle and Entertainment Weekly to develop online exclusives and broad-ranging online packages around worldwide entertainment events.
