America Online Launches New First Read Programming Feature With Exclusive Sneak Peek of Lemony Snicket's 'The Carnivorous Carnival'.

 Carnival," the ninth book in the HarperCollins series, "A Series of Unfortunate Events," is not due out in bookstores until late October but America Online See AOL. , the world's leading interactive services company, will offer its more than 35 million members a sneak peek at the first horrifying chapter when AOL launches its newest offering, First Read(TM) on October 7th.

First Read is a new feature offering AOL members the exclusive opportunity to preview upcoming books by leading authors. Additional upcoming previews are soon to follow. Building on the success of AOL's "First Listen," which has given members exclusive first chances to hear releases from such artists as Bruce Springsteen and Rod Stewart and helped make AOL Music the #1 music destination on the Internet, AOL will be premiering a series of new, exclusive programming features beginning with the launch of AOL 8.0 -- the newest version of the convenient, easy-to-use service -- later this Fall.

In addition to the First Read feature, AOL's Parenting Channel will offer a wide selection of Lemony Snicket Snicket can refer to:
