Did you miss Britney Spears and Madonna kissing? Arnold Schwarzenegger announcing his candidacy for governor of California? Rachel admitting her feelings for Joey? They were all television moments that made the headlines. To ensure that TV fans don't miss those "can't miss" moments, America Online, the world's leading interactive services company, has introduced "TV's Top 5." This new video feature, sponsored by Philips Electronics, offers a daily showcase of the five best television moments of the previous day and, on the weekends, highlights the five best moments of the previous week. The "TV's Top 5" area also gives AOL members daily personalized viewing recommendations for that day's best shows, based on criteria that members provide.

"TV's Top 5" will keep AOL and AOL(R) for Broadband members up-to-date on the television events that matter most--whether it's comedy, drama, reality TV, sports or news--and provide a virtual watercooler where people can exchange views and opinions about TV's most "buzz-worthy" moments. This AOL-exclusive feature is available through AOL Television at AOL Keyword: TV's Top 5.

The "Top 5" moments will be chosen each day, Monday-Friday, through a combination of AOL member response (including use of message boards, chats and AOL(R) Alerts and Reminders), measurement data provided by TiVo, and AOL editorial input. Members can watch each moment and rate it on a scale of one to five stars, then see how their rating compares to the average rating. Each Saturday and Sunday, the weekend edition of "TV's Top 5" will offer a rundown of the cumulative "Top 5" moments of the week, based on member ratings. The "TV's Top 5" area also offers personalized viewing recommendations through AOL Television's "What's on for Me" functionality, so members can catch the best shows of the day, based on their personal preferences. Members can also share their feedback via message boards, chat with other TV fans about the "Top 5" moments, and even nominate a moment they think should make the list.

To kick off this new feature, AOL has teamed with TiVo for an AOL-exclusive sweepstakes that will give away 25 TiVo Series2 Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) with product lifetime TiVo subscriptions. To enter, AOL members can simply go to AOL Keyword: TV's Top 5 and fill out the online entry form now through November 9, 2003.
