) today announced the national debut of the "MindSpring Coast to Coast Connection Tour," a five-month, multi-city mobile tour to introduce its award-winning Internet service directly to consumers. The centerpiece of the Tour will be the MindSpring World Wide Web Wagon, with graphics designed by Peter Max. During the tour, MindSpring will raise community awareness and financial support for the technology initiative of Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Bringing the Internet to Communities

The tour will teach visitors how to connect with people, places, and news around the world using the power of the Internet. Visitors can send virtual postcards to friends and family, which will automatically register them to win two roundtrip business class tickets to Latin America, Central America or Europe from Delta Air Lines; a Dell multimedia computer; a 3Com 56k modem or free MindSpring Internet service.

MindSpring's corporate mission includes being a force for good in its communities and the tour will help connect Boys & Girls Clubs of America to the Internet by making a donation for every new customer who signs up through the World Wide Web Wagon. MindSpring will hold events at Boys & Girls Clubs where kids, volunteers, and parents can learn about the Internet and enter drawings to win free Internet service An ISP that provides access to the Internet without charge to the user. Decorated with eye-popping graphics from world-renowned artist Peter Max and slated to travel the country from September 1998 through February 1999, the MindSpring World Wide Web Wagon is a 36-foot Airstream Land Yacht loaded with Internet-connected computer kiosks to allow consumers to surf the Web. The MindSpring crew will provide Web tours, answer questions, distribute free gifts, and conduct contests. Tour stops will include festivals, parades, sports events, museums, and schools.
