Discovery Expo Spring 2000

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 9, 2000

No matter the market gyrations today, there will come a time when investors will wish they had bought some new hot stock of the new millennium back in the Spring of 2000.

Brokers, analysts, and sophisticated fund managers, who hope to ride this new wave of successful shares onto the beach, can review 80 serious hopefuls at the 12th Discovery Expo. It is from noon to 7 p.m., June 15, 2000, in the New York Hilton at 6th Ave, and 53rd St.

Exhibitors at this Expo represent examples of the diverse and expanding world we live in. Advanced health care, communication, automotive, and many other products will be showcased.

One company offers online clients an opportunity to negotiate and settle legal disputes with more than 1,300 qualified hearing officers, while another operates high-speed wireless Internet services in nine markets across the West Coast.

Attendees, who are admitted free if they surrender their business card, will have opportunities to talk and question the CEOs and other executives of these growth firms.

The whole show is geared toward making the discovery and research of young energetic companies easier for the financial professional and the investor.

This 12th, in a unique series of Discovery Expos, was organized by The Investment Reporter, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based financial newspaper to bring together undiscovered companies with high-profile growth fund managers, analysts, stock brokers and sophisticated investors together in a semi-annual one day event.

"The financial world definitely needs to find growing companies whose shares have strong upside potential, and these companies want to be discovered," said John Robbins, publisher of the 12-year-old Investment Reporter and host of the Discovery Expos.

Sponsors of the Expo include: Business Wire, Standard & Poor's, AGS AGS American Geriatrics Society.  Specialist Partners, The Boston Stock Exchange The Boston Stock Exchange (BSE) is a regional stock exchange located in Boston, Massachusetts. The third-oldest stock exchange in the United States, it was founded in 1834. On October 2nd, 2007 Nasdaq agreed to acquire BSE for $61 million. , The Investment Reporter and Emerging Equities.com.
