), a property-type specific real estate investment trust which owns 22 office properties serving small to mid-sized tenants, announced today that the company will purchase shares of AmeriVest common stock for its dividend reinvestment plan Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRP)

Plan which provides for automatic reinvestment of shareholder dividends in more shares of a company's stock, often without commissions. Some plans provide for the purchase of additional shares at a discount to market price.
 (DRIP) in the open market for its fourth-quarter dividend, payable to shareholders of record on December 28, 2000. The purchases will commence on the dividend payment date of January 17, 2001. AmeriVest will announce the number of shares enrolled in the DRIP and the approximate number of shares to be purchased in the market prior to the payment date. About AmeriVest Properties Inc.
