AmeriHealth New Jersey Renews Contracts With Three Health Systems in the State.


MT. LAUREL & ISELIN, N.J. -- AmeriHealth New Jersey announced that it has renewed contracts with three health systems, illustrating the company's commitment to provide a broad network of quality hospitals and physicians across the state.

Under the agreements, AmeriHealth members will continue to receive full benefits of their coverage for inpatient and outpatient services outpatient services Hospital-based services Managed care Medical and other services provided, to a nonadmitted Pt, by a hospital or other qualified facility–eg, mental health clinic, rural health clinic, mobile X-ray unit, free-standing dialysis unit Examples  from the following facilities:

* AtlantiCare Regional Medical, which provides patient care at acute-care hospitals in Atlantic City Atlantic City, city (1990 pop. 37,986), Atlantic co., SE N.J., an Atlantic resort and convention center; settled c.1790, inc. 1854. Situated on Absecon Island, a barrier island 10 mi (16.  and Pomona in Atlantic County.

* Shore Memorial Hospital Health System, operator of the Shore Memorial Hospital with 350 doctors in Somers Point in Atlantic County, and hospital affiliations in Philadelphia including health care, wellness and fitness services available at its Shore Health Park facility in Mays Landing.

* Kennedy Health System, which provides patient care at Memorial Hospitals - University Medical Center facilities in Cherry Hill Cherry Hill, township (1990 pop. 69,319), Camden co., W central N.J.; name was changed from Delaware township to Cherry Hill in 1961. Largely residential, Cherry Hill has been marked by great development and housing growth, especially since the 1970s.  and Stratford in Camden County and its Turnersville facility in Gloucester County.
