Under the UGI Utilities, Inc. (NYSE:UGI UGI abbr. upper gastrointestinal (as in series) ), will remain chairman of AmeriGas. Bissell, 46, had been senior vice president - sales and marketing. He joined AmeriGas in 1995 as vice president-sales and operations for the southern division following eight years in senior operations and sales positions with an international manufacturer and distributor of industrial gases. Bissell had previously worked for UGI and AmeriGas from 1981 to 1987, originally joining the company in its management training program, and later as a business analyst, district manager, and director of corporate development. Bissell received his undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College and earned a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania The Wharton School is the business school of University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1881 through a donation of Joseph Wharton, making it the world’s oldest business school. . He currently serves as vice president and a member of the board of directors of the National Propane Gas Association.
