AmeriCredit Corp. (NYSE:ACF) today officially dedicated its new call center in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. The Peterborough center, which is located about 100 miles northeast of Toronto, is the company's first to be located in Canada and fifth call center in North America.

AmeriCredit opened the 89,000 square foot facility in July to handle collections for its customers in Canada and the Eastern United States. The company has hired more than 200 team members in Peterborough and employs nearly 5,000 people throughout the United States and Canada.

We now have nearly one million customers, and it's important that we have a solid infrastructure in place to provide outstanding service to each and every one of them. In addition to the call center in Peterborough, AmeriCredit also has centers in Arlington, Texas; Tempe, Ariz.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Jacksonville, Fla. The Jacksonville facility, which also opened this past summer, will officially be dedicated next month. The company's headquarters is located in Fort Worth, Texas.
