Ameri-Kart Corp. Acquires Ohio Rotational Molding Company.


BRISTOL, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 1998--Ameri-Kart Corp. has acquired for cash, all outstanding shares of privately-held Sherwood Plastics, Inc., of Fostoria, Ohio Fostoria is a city located in Hancock, Seneca, and Wood Counties in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. It is approximately 40 miles south of Toledo and 90 miles north of Columbus. The population was 13,931 at the 2000 census. . Sherwood will become part of Ameri-Kart, a Myers Industries company. Terms of the acquisition have not been released.

Founded in 1966, Sherwood Plastics manufactures products with applications in transportation, medical, recreation, consumer, and environmental industries. The company specializes in rotational molding Rotational molding or moulding is a versatile process for creating many kinds of mostly hollow plastic Parts. Sherwood management and employees have agreed to remain with the company following the change of ownership.
